The Arroyo Tamarock A/T tire is available in the 285/70/R17 size, which includes a 10-ply sidewall. This makes the tires heavier than standard OEM tires but provides the added durability necessary for off-roading. The tread pattern and compound are engineered to deliver solid traction in dry, wet, and winter conditions. The sidewall is also designed to flex when aired down, improving off-road traction while resisting cuts, scratches, and impact damage.

For wet weather performance, the Tamarock A/Ts are equipped with ample siping, promoting quick water drainage and enhancing traction. Additionally, the Multi-Angle Sipe design helps reduce road noise and improves traction in snowy conditions, making these tires versatile across different environments.

Performance and Impressions

Arroyo Tamarock A/T delivers an impressively quiet and comfortable ride on paved roads, despite their tougher compound. They also show a surprising improvement in fuel economy, increasing from 16 to 18 mpg on the highway, even with the same tire size as before.

In wet conditions, these tires outperform typical Mud Terrain (M/T tires), maintaining excellent traction during heavy rain, including during sudden braking and acceleration. On easy off-road trails, the Tamarock A/Ts hold their own, though they offer slightly less traction in mud and over large obstacles compared to more aggressive off-road tires. This trade-off, however, results in better wet road performance, which is often more crucial for everyday driving.
